Breast Reduction
Excessive weight of the mammary glands can cause muscle tension in the neck/nape region and lead to an incorrect position of the thoracic spine. In such cases, a reduction of the mammary glands is indicated for medical reasons. Heavily overweight patients should, however, normalize their weight as much as possible before the operation, because only then can an optimal result be achieved and the operative risk be decreased.
The procedure is usually performed under general anaesthesia.

Breast Lifting
When the breasts are not too large and tend to droop, breast lifting produces an appealing shape without removal of mammary gland tissue.
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation can be very helpful if patients feel their breasts are too small, either due to genetics or after the birth of children or major weight loss, and the patients' self-confidence and well-being are greatly affected to the negative. Generally, implants are used for aesthetic breast augmentation. Todays implants consist of a silicone shell whose surface can be either smooth or structured. Currently, the majority of implants used in Germany contain a silicone gel and saline solution.
The operation can be performed either under local or general anaesthesia.

Nipple Correction
Procedures to correct retracted nipples and excessively large areolas are done under local anaesthesia on an out-patient basis.
